Visible area

What's on screen right now — no scrolling.

1. Press Ctrl/⌘+Shift+3, or open the popup and choose Visible Area Only.
2. The shot is taken immediately — what you can see is what you get.

This page

The whole scrollable page, stitched from settled chunks at device-pixel resolution.

1. Press Ctrl/⌘+Shift+4, or choose Whole Current Page in the popup.
2. Leave the tab alone while it scrolls and stitches — it is capturing chunk by chunk.
3. On a page that loads as you scroll, let it reach the bottom once yourself first, so everything is in the DOM before the capture starts.

Full website

Internal links listed with checkboxes, drag-to-reorder, plus a bulk-URL box for relative paths. Each page opens in a background tab, gets captured, and closes.

1. Choose the full-website mode and let it list the internal links it can find.
2. Untick anything you do not want, or paste your own paths into the bulk-URL box.
3. Drag to set the order — it is the order the frames will queue in.
4. Start it: each page opens in a background tab, is captured, and closes again.

Area

Drag a rectangle anywhere on the page — the popup closes while you draw and reopens with the result.

1. Press Ctrl/⌘+Shift+5 to go straight to the selection.
2. Drag a rectangle over the part you want.
3. Nudge the edges with the arrow keys — Shift moves 10px at a time.
4. Enter confirms, Esc cancels.

Stitching

Scrollbars hide during the stitch; each chunk settles (configurable pacing delay + buffer) before capture, then stitches on an OffscreenCanvas at device-pixel resolution.

1. If a sticky header repeats down the stitched image, hide it before capturing — a header fixed to the viewport is genuinely on screen for every chunk.
2. If chunks look torn, raise the pacing delay in settings: the page is still moving when the shot is taken.

Rate limits

Chrome's captureVisibleTab limit is retried with backoff, so long pages don't fail partway through.

Isolation

The overlay lives in its own shadow root above anything the page stacks, and keeps working under strict CSP.

Fullscreen

Follows the page into fullscreen and hides itself two frames before the shot, so no handles appear in the image.

1. Put the page into fullscreen first, then start the area capture — the overlay follows it in.
2. The handles are gone from the image: it hides itself two frames before the shot.

Memory

The last rectangle is remembered and re-offered when the window is the same size.

1. Capturing the same element on several pages: draw it once, and it is offered again at the same window size.

Format

PNG (lossless) or JPEG with a quality slider.

1. Keep PNG for anything with text or UI in it — JPEG puts halos around type.
2. Switch to JPEG when the shot is photographic and the file size matters.

Pacing & naming

Scroll pacing delay, four filename template patterns, and optional auto-download of raw files into a FramioCam/ folder.

1. Pick a filename pattern so a folder of captures sorts the way you read it.
2. Turn on auto-download to have raw files land in a FramioCam/ folder without asking each time.

Feedback

Completion raises a notification with a "Customize in Studio" button and an indigo badge showing the success count.

1. Click Customize in Studio on the notification to go straight from the capture into dressing it.

Defaults

Ctrl/⌘+Shift+3 (visible), +4 (full page), +5 (area, straight to the selection), +F (popup).

1. Ctrl/⌘+Shift+3 — the visible area.
