A video editor made for screen recordings.

Stage

Expand the preview to full width; floating controls jump to the previous/next cut or ±5 s.

HUD

Badges show aspect, composition size and the chosen export height. A Shift+? modal lists every shortcut.

Auto-zoom

Generated from where you actually clicked — clustered and mapped to frame pixels.

1. Open Zoom and generate from clicks: the editor reads where you actually clicked while recording and puts a zoom on each cluster.
2. Play it back before touching anything — most of them will already be where you would have put them.

Full control

Retime, reposition, resize, ease in/out (0–2500 ms) and scale (1–4×) each one, or regenerate from all clicks at any time.

1. Drag a zoom along its lane to retime it, or drag its edges to change how long it holds.
2. Set scale (1–4×) and the ease in and out — 300–600 ms reads as deliberate, instant reads as a glitch.
3. Drag the zoom target on the frame to move what it lands on.
4. Regenerate from all clicks at any time to start over.

Text

Placed on the frame and timed on the timeline, sized 12–120 px.

1. Open Annotate, add text, and drag it where it belongs on the frame.
2. Drag its block along the text lane to set when it appears, and its edges for how long it stays.
3. Leave it up long enough to be read twice — that is roughly two seconds for a short line.

Marks

Arrow, Box, Ellipse, Blur, Highlight, Spotlight, Step, and freehand Pen — each with its own stretch of time, color and weight, corner grips to reshape, one drag = one undo step.

1. Pick a mark, then draw it on the frame.
2. Use the corner grips to reshape it and the lane below to time it.
3. Blur is the one to reach for before sharing: put it over anything you would not want paused on.

Tracks

Audio tracks mixed under the recording.

1. Open Sound and add a track — it mixes under whatever the recording already carries.
2. Drag it along the audio lane to line it up with what is happening on screen.

Mixing

Per-clip volume, fade in/out, and mute.

1. Set volume per clip rather than globally, so a loud section does not force the whole video down.
2. Add a fade in and out — audio that starts at full volume sounds like a mistake.
3. Mute a clip to keep its picture without its sound.

Panel

Size, shape (circle / rounded / square), mirror, border (width, solid/dashed/double, color) and shadow & glow presets — all fully custom.

1. Open Camera and turn on Show webcam bubble.
2. Choose its shape and size, then add a border or glow if it needs separating from the backdrop.
3. Mirror it if the text behind you reads backwards.

Placement

The bubble drags anywhere — including outside the card, on the backdrop — and export matches the editor.

Lanes

Multiple video lanes — add, reorder, remove; where clips overlap, the topmost lane plays. Clips drag across lanes and edge-trim into their source.

Navigation

Filmstrip thumbnails per clip, zoom 1–8× (buttons or Ctrl/⌘ + wheel), a clickable time ruler, and follow-playhead auto-scroll.

Tracks

Dedicated lanes for transitions, zooms, text, marks, and audio — each item draggable and edge-resizable.

Gap honesty

A moment with no clip plays as black with a corner note — exactly as it exports.

Cut

Split at the playhead, then delete-and-close-the-gap (ripple) or delete-and-leave-a-gap — zooms, text, marks and audio ride through instead of being orphaned. Duplicate with Ctrl/⌘+D.

1. Put the playhead where the mistake starts and split.
2. Split again where it ends, select the middle, and delete.
3. Ripple delete closes the gap and carries the zooms, text, marks and audio with it; plain delete leaves the gap and everything where it was.

24 transitions

A gallery modal with animated previews, search, and category tabs (Fades & Dissolves, Wipes & Shapes, Motion & Slides, 3D & Artistic). Apply to In / Out / Both, retime by dragging; preview and export share one renderer.

1. Select a clip and open the transition gallery — each one previews animated, so you are choosing by sight rather than by name.
2. Apply it to In, Out, or Both.
3. Drag its edges on the timeline to change how long it runs.
4. One is usually enough: a cut between two clips of the same screen rarely needs help.

Formats

MP4 (H.264), WebM (VP9 where available), animated GIF, or a still PNG of the frame under the playhead.

1. Pick MP4 unless you have a reason not to — it plays everywhere.
2. GIF for something that has to autoplay silently in a README or a ticket.
3. Frame PNG saves the single frame under the playhead, which is the fastest way to get a still out of a recording.

Quality

Heights from 480p to 4K (upscales labeled as such), quality named by purpose — High / Balanced / Small — and remembered per device.

1. Choose a height: exporting taller than you recorded is an upscale, and is labelled as one rather than quietly sold as detail.
2. Pick High for something being watched full screen, Small for something being emailed.
3. The choice is remembered on this device, so the next export starts where this one ended.

Honest limits

A format the device can't encode is disabled with the reason, before the export starts. GIF caps — width, length, frame rate, palette — are stated up front.

Share and sync

On Pro and Teams, an export can go to your own Google Drive with a share link, and Project Sync carries the whole project to your other computer — straight from your browser, with nothing uploaded to us. See Cloud Sync.

Shared wallpaper collections

Coming soon: the same 51 FramioCam and macOS wallpapers in the video and screenshot editors. Download a full image once and reuse it offline. The picker shows download progress and offers retry if a download fails.

Annotation controls

Coming soon: matching tool grids with visible letter keys in both editors, plus video arrow turning and annotation handles that follow the pointer beyond the picture’s edge. The preview and export still clip marks at the frame. In Annotate, N picks Step, A Arrow, B Blur, P Pen, H Highlight, R Box, C Ellipse, Z Spotlight, and V Select. S remains Split.

Edit your brand on the picture

Coming soon: select, resize, and delete your custom text or logo watermark directly in the preview, with undo for each change. Deleting a selected brand watermark keeps your timeline clips in place and does not remove the free plan’s FramioCam watermark.

Black-edge trimming in Canvas

Coming soon: detected black-edge trimming moves into Canvas and the separate video Layout group is removed. Imported files still ask before trimming; the screenshot editor keeps its Layout controls.
