Your media. Your control.
A screen recorder that
keeps your media local.
Record your screen without uploading the footage to FramioCam. Screenshots, recordings, and edits are processed in your browser. Account services and product usage events use the network; your media does not go to our servers.
What stays on your device.
- Screenshots
- Capture, stitch, annotate, style, and export screenshots on your computer.
- Screen recordings
- Recordings are written to local browser storage while you work. Recording does not upload the footage to FramioCam.
- Edits and projects
- Your timeline, annotations, media, and undo history stay in your browser unless you turn on project sync.
- Exports
- The browser encodes your finished file. Download it to a folder you control.
What crosses the network.
- Account and licence checks
- Your account and browser installation are used to issue licences, check plan access, and manage devices. Licence checks include your key, install ID, browser user agent, and extension version.
- Product usage events
- Store-installed copies send basic usage events even when usage sharing is declined. These events exclude media, page addresses, page titles, file names, and typed text. Usage sharing adds an optional random analytics identifier.
- Payments
- Paddle handles payments as merchant of record. Card details do not reach FramioCam.
Cloud storage, when you connect it
Your own Drive.
A choice you control.
Pro and Teams can send files directly from your browser to your Google Drive. Automatic uploads are enabled by default when you first connect. Review upload and link settings before capturing sensitive content. A default share link lets anyone with the link view the file.
FramioCam requests access to the Drive files it creates, rather than your entire Drive. Project sync also sends the project's media and edit history to your connected account.
How Google Drive sync worksLocal storage still needs a backup.
Uninstalling the extension, clearing browser data, deleting a browser profile, or storage pressure can remove local projects. Download files you want to keep, or use your own cloud storage.
